Director: Prof. Andras PATKOS, professor of theoretical physics
Established with the purpose of creating a special
environment for intensive science education and research, the College
came into operation in February 1994.
The 80 students among them 15 PhD students, presently
associated with the College were selected from the best young talents
at the Faculty of Science, who wish to pursue a career in research after
their degrees.
The students of the College attend lectures, do their
laboratory work and sit for examinations at the University. In addition
to this, they are offered extra lectures and occasional intensive courses
on special topics at the College, take part in an extended seminar program,
and their progress is assisted and monitored through tutorials. During
the summer holiday the College houses international doctoral courses,
organizes intensive language courses for its students, and supports
their participation in summer schools abroad.
The educational and research activity is supervised
by 6 senior staff members, working at the College part time. At the
moment the staff members are:

In the summer period the College hosts various scientific
meetings: smaller conferences, workshops, summer courses, etc. These
are usually attended by participians from wide scientific circles from
Hungary and aboard.
